Eberhard Nestle (1851–1913) was a German biblical scholar and leading New Testament textual critic. Educated at Tübingen, he initially studied oriental languages before focusing on New Testament textual criticism. He edited the influential Novum Testamentum Graece, which became a standard Greek New Testament, later developed by his son Erwin Nestle and scholars such as Kurt Aland into the well-known Nestle-Aland edition.
