Ignatius Ephrem II Rahmani (1848–1929) was the Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch from 1898 until his death. Born in Mosul, he became a leading church leader and Syriac scholar, known for his work on early Christian liturgy, history, and manuscripts. During his patriarchate, he guided the Syriac Catholic Church through World War I and the persecution of Christians in the Ottoman Empire, while also preserving and publishing important Syriac Christian texts.
